LAS VEGAS - Junior Tyler Conley connected off a header from teammate Sy Reeves in the 54th minute to lead the University of San Diego men's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout of New Mexico in game one of the UNLV Soccer Tournament at Peter Johann Memorial Field in Las Vegas.

The Toreros, the only team in this year's tournament field to have advanced to the 2000 NCAA Men's College Cup, outshot the Lobos 15-7 with nine shots on goal. USD improves to 2-0 on the young season, while UNM falls to 1-1.

Both teams will continue tournament play on Sunday, Sept. 9, with San Diego meeting host UNLV at noon and New Mexico facing Vanderbilt at 2 p.m.
